Just read the front page article ………I know A Merloni were not exactly ideal owners but at least they took a hands off approach, in general and let Asko get on with. Gorenje however? what are they going to do to the brand?

TBH, as yet, nobody knows just exactly what will happen, it’s all guesswork and supposition thus far.
That said, John and I were in Sweden two weeks ago and an almost direct quote is that we “would be alright” irrespective of what went on as obviously I’ve known about a change of ownership for some time now, it was inevitable due to Merloni falling apart.
What took so long was the Italian government deciding what to do about Merloni and its assets.
As for Gorenje, well they also own Atag and seem to have taken a “hands off” approach there so I’m hoping that the same will apply to Asko and it’s just business as usual.
