I have an Arrow fan oven with a Gunkol element.Over tthe last couple of weeks it seemed as if the thermostat wasn’t working, then the other night dinner was cooking when the electricity blew! I retripped the consumer unit and everything came back on.After a few moments I noticed that the oven was cold ( fan working normally ).Grill still works.
I removed the cooker unit from the housing a stripped the thing down. From the pics on the web site my element appears undamaged, but I have no continuity between the terminals, does this mean the element is kaput? Also,
how can I check the thermostat is working? How does the interior light come out?

If you have no circuit between the element terminals then its faulty.

The interior light cover will either be a screw thread glass cover or twist fit.

They can be tight to undo, suggest using a pair of marigolds to get a good grip to remove.

Make sure you isolate befor carring out any work ❗

    Hi Steven

Many thanks for your info….. didn’t have any marigolds but determination and brute force! has done it.

Element and lamp now on order – soon will have a roast – whooppee! (fingers crossed).
