How big a job is this. Is it a drum out or is it a matter removing the cast iron bearing housing assy from the rear?

Is there a bearing and seal kit avaiable?

    Jim.

A walk in the park Jim, cast iron spigot off the back and knock ’em out!

    Unfortunately not quite… 😥

The machine is in a garage and you all know what bearing failures are like on machines in garages. 😉

Main bearing had completely collapsed. I was very lucky indeed as I was able to remove the inner core of the main bearing from the drum shaft and using my trusty Hotpoint (Red box ) bearing kit managed to get the outer part of the old bearing out of the housing, so alls well that ends well. 8)

Must sat I’m surprised they use such tiny bearings in these machines.

    Jim.
