    This washer dryer is doing strange things. Got call to say could not get machine to start. When i got there i selected wash, pressed start and away it went. Turned selector to”O” programme stops, i then select drain and spin and it does that fine. So i fill the machine again with water, switch programme off and select drain and spin again, press start but it just carry’s on washing. Takes about 5 attemps to get it to drain. Try to select spin speed some times it will only select no spin or 500 not 800 or 1200. Put it on dryer and it started to fill for a wash cycle. Checked all components, valves, brushes, dryer heater, wash heater, fan ,motor all ok, no earth leaks. Checked all connections on boards. So, is it selector switch, display board or main power board?
    Anyone had this before?

    CHANGE SELECTOR SWITCH
    HAD A COUPLE OF THESE TRIED CLEANING CONTACTS ON SWITCH BUT HAD TO REPLACE SWITCH IN THE END PART NO 481227328282

    Thanks I’ll try that. It’s worth the gamble because it’s quite cheap, unlike the main board which is £250+.(whirlpool prices are a joke!)
