    Hi,

    I have a 6 month old Siemens fridge-freezer.
I want ot move it from the kitchen to the lounge while I install a new kitchen.
What is the correct way of moving it? Shut off for 24rs, then move?
It is only about a 15 metre journey.

    Thanks

As long as it’s moved in an upright (vertical) position you can simply switch it off, move it then plug it back in if you like. Moving in any other position other than upright is fine provided you the leave it for 24 hrs before switching it back on.

Bearing in mind that in order to fully defrost the appliance 24 – 36 hours may be necessary in order to do that. I would choose the kitchen to fully defrost it’s better to do that in situ rather than in the lounge as it could get messy. 😉
