ParticipantOne of my guy’s has been to one of these beasts and says that the water hose has broken inside the freezer door.
He said that he cannot get the old hose out from the bottom but thinks it will be possible if he strips the door down. Can this door be stripped down to get access to the hose or does the appliance require a complete door?
If a hose can be fitted does anyone know the part no?
ThanksJohn

A whole door required I’m afraid according to the manual 😥
From LG manual:
Door assembly 3581JA0013C £199.89
Door foamed assembly (complete with seal) 5433JA0043C £247.52Those prices are trade (cost) from LG 😯

Probably so long as it has a valid part number. 😉

Dunno, when they see the potential bill they may well agree unless it’s a US style one.
What does interest me is how the hose got broken inside the door as it should be static in there, in theory.

From what I have been told the hose was broken right at the hole where it comes out of the door. The engineer said that it appeared to be pretty rigid and had no play in it so I assumed that it would need a complete door.
A costly repair in any ones book though I imagine it will be repaired as it will cost just under half the original purchase price to repair

I have found that if you pull down sharply on the bit what sticks out it does have about 6″ inside the door panel assembly to allow you to put a joint onto the end.at the end of the day your not losing anything but you may save the customer the cost of a new door.

Yes it was, if the customer or insurer is thinking of going ahead I’ll mail over the exploded tommorow for you.
Let me know if required.

Or you may not need it now, R600’s reply may solve the problem 😀
Nice tip Bryan, thanks.
