ParticipantHi Everyone
Have not worked on this brand of F/Frezzer before, any help would be great.
When switched on at the plug the compressor and condensor fan run for only a few seconds then turn off and do not come back on even when left on all day. Adjusting the stats has no effect.
(Serial No 11705649JR)Anyone any ideas ??

probably the pcb mate, especially if the condenser fan and compressor run when you open the fridge door and then cut out when you close it.
cheers.

Hi Guys
Have recieved part from Maytag or should I say Parts because they have sent me two boards with a note saying that the LV Board and HV Board have to be changed at the same time as there can be possible incompatibility issues.
The only part numbers I can find are HV Board 12639501 and
LV Board 67003751Also I have read on some posts about coding these PCB, does anyone know how this is done.
Many Thanks
Al

Hi.
Something has gone wrong here, It sounds like they have sent you boards for the older Amana XRSS. What you need is the Control board http://lookup.partadvantage.com/lookup/maytag/6153/00040394#Its located in the top of the fridge section and can be removed by three or sometime four screws into the roof.
There are three types currently available, you can identify then by the sticker on the board. Jazz 14 – 15 and 16
For some reason there is a big price difference. The jazz 14 is half the price of the other two.
If you need any more info go to:- http://www.servicematters.com and click on the tab for old Maytag service library. You can then input the model number and get tech info.
It will need programming, but depending which board, the code is on the rating plate inside the fridge. This is shown as code. If all else fails code 05 works pretty well.
Either way these will be much cheaper than what you have been sent if theyve invoiced for the boards youve been sent. :rolls:August 28, 2010 at 12:09 pm #327513a1al

Hi Guys
Just to let you all know been back today and replaced PCB (12868513) job done, and it would not accept code 28 as per label so used code 05 and it worked a treat, another success for UKWG’s.
Many Thanks
Al
