I have been out to an Amica AWCT10L, the customer complained that the machine was not completing a cycle. I checked the machine over and could not find anything out of the ordinary, so ran it through a short wash program, which it completed no problem.
She had said that various lights had been lit on the fascia but was not sure which ones. When I read through her instruction book there were some fault codes one of which was OOB which I assumed had been the case, so left her to try again.Two days later she calls me to say that it has stopped again and has noted the lights, which when I have checked on the known fault codes is the sixth one from the top.
RED RED RED OFFDamaged engine (rate generator, thermal or winding switch)
Engine block drawn out.
Thermal switch open due to engine overheating.
Basically I want to know is it telling me to replace the motor?Thanks

Fault code for a motor problem as described would be the 60 & 30 temp led’s flashing at end of cycle.
It basically means that a supply was sent from the board to the motor but no signal was received back from the tacho.
Motor could be overeheating on longer cycles & going out on thermal cut-out.
Could be something as simple as a coin sticking between the tub & drum .Re: Does anybody speak Amica?
Fault codes on this page
I’ve had one now which is a bit odd so do check the motor as much as you can, if you need a schematic for the machine I will need the production code as there are at least two UK variants. The oddness was that the motor was replaced, as billed by the code, but the motor isn’t actually the fault.
I’ve still to get to the bottom of what the fault actually is but, I suspect, that there’s a problem with the PCB since as far as I can see, the motor is directly connected to the board.
