    Hi

I have a Samsung RL36EBSW . Last night when I went into the freezer alot of the food was quite soft and almost defrosted, I looked at the LCD Display and ‘VAC’ (Vacation) mode appeared to be on even though no one has touched the fridge freezer.

I turned the fridge freezer off and on at the plug and all seemed to fire up perfectly fine, freezer was sitting at -18c and 4c for the fridge.

About two hours later there was no sound at all from the fridge freezer and no heat coming from the sides of the fridge freezer to kick it back in again, I had to power it off and back on, the last time it topped itself back up was just shortly after 1am it is now 4.10am.

We have a smaller freezer as well, this top’s itself up every 35-40 mins where as the samsun now for over three hours hasnt done anything.

Any idea what could be up?

    Re: Problem with fridge freezer

Likely a fault in the defrost system which usually shuts down when it recognises a fault.
    Possibly engineer time.
