next time I go on one I must remember to take a can opener…after 150 screws removed I still found myself peering under bent up bits of sheet metal, covered in grease and still no further near finding the fault, fuming I am!

is this the one with 3 or 4 different sizes of torx screws , and the one when you undo what you think is the right screws, only to watch a large chunk of metal plummet towards the shiny new granite worktop , which then bungees up with mms to spare and on it’s return path manages to pull every single wire to pieces before the pcb disintegrates 😳 😳 ?

yes! and then they made me put the damn thing back again to cover the unsightly gash it left.

suppose I should describe the fault seeing as we have a couple of “experts” here. shut door and light and turntable come on before even setting any time or power settings, turntabe will run until plug is pulled. Did have similar symtoms on panasonic microwaves before with door switch shorted out, would have checked the door switch if only I could get into the damn thing.

was when I had finished with it!
surpisingly hood functions still worked…….but turntable going around constantly was not a good sign, so I pulled the leads to the microwave.

Just took a lok at the wiring diagram for this one and the quality of the diagram is worse than the microwave itself. It can only be one of the door switches or god forbid the ccu which going by my out of date price list is £184….
Cut your losses and run methinks.
