Indesit wixe167 Display problem

Hi, My display on washing machine flashes very fast showing all the display numbers letters etc. The problem is curred by switching off at the wall for a minute, then switch back on and the programme required can be selected and run, however part way through programme display flashing rapid again. however the programmes do all run fine. Any help appreciated.
