    Indesit WIXL123UK/Y

This machine is just over the year.

When I first started it on a wash program it filled, heated, washed for about 10/15mins then the doorlock led went out and nothing happened, no motor action the wash led stayed on then after 5/10 sec’s the doorlock led came on and the motor turned albeit a bit jerky, after a few sec’s led went out again and so on. The same happens on spin program.

I have checked the module and squeezed the connecters; I could not see anything obvious.

Any other suggestion, have spoken to EMW who said it is not one of there common faults

    Thanks Bernie

Sounds very much like mains power failure? Wall socket? Mains lead/suppressor?

    Thanks for the reply Martin.

If it was a mains power failure won’t the wash led go out also?

When it was spinning and it goes of the spin led stays on too

Do you mean the connection between the display module and the main module?

Could you check “door lock” contact ( between “L” & “C”) and related wires… for that you can try to make an jump between J4.1 and J4.2 on PCB with J4 connector OUT and let an wash program run till end…

Because is with “/Y” ended, which is for “arcadia” model it could be also missing carbon brushes???

    Thanks for the reply Baron.

I get the door lock but not the bit that follows…….make a jump between J4.1 and J4.2 on PCB with J4 connector OUT and let wash program run till end…
    what will this tell me?

what do I make a jumper from, which one is the J4 connector?

Also “missing carbon brushes?” do you mean a brushless motor?

J4 is the wiring connector on PCB which comes from door lock.
Jumper can be done with any wire (in that connector are three wires: two with the same colour/broun and another red, so you have to the jump were goes those with the same colour)…
In this manner you will check if problem came from door lock or it’s wires (in case of running without intrerruption)…
