Iv had my dishwasher a week or so now and has been used half a dozen times, one thing i noticed last night is that it seemed slightly louder than normal producing a slight vibration noise in the wash cycle.

I opened the door mid cycle to check that the spray arms where free and noticed a bit of foaming, there were white suds at the base almost up to the bottom spray arm.

It completed the cycle ok and dried the contents as it had before, but im curious about the suds.

Im using Seperate Finish Powder, Rinse Aid and Salt. I always rinse the plates in cold water before putting in to the dishwasher, no egg, or protein food was left on any of the plates, is this normal for a few suds to be around or should it be sud free?

    Re: Foaming

First of all, it’s not a good idea to open the door mid cycle, it can lead to an overflow into the base.

If you really must stop it then leave it a few minutes before opening the door.

A large amount of suds in the bottom is quite normal at certain parts of the cycle. As long as they go in dirty and come out clean I wouldn’t worry about it. 😉
