ParticipantI have recently purchased a fan motor to replace the original in my USA style fridge freezer ~
The wiring on the new one is different to the old one ~ new one has an earth wire and green/yellow cable ~ where the old one has red and white cables ~
HELP ~ how do we connect up the new fan motor ?
Yes it is the correct part no for the Fridge freezer.

ParticipantI had hoped that someone could tell me how to connect the old wiring to the new wiring for this fan motor ~
The previous history to this issue ~ an engineer called out and never removed the back cover of the appliance and said it was the thermostat and defrost timer switch ! duly replaced and still not working properly ! another engineer said it was the defrost heater ~ replaced and still not working ~ on these ocassions the engineer was totally wrong.
A commerial refrigeration engineer ~ took the back cover off and siad the fan motor is not working ! after being quoted at £295 just for the motor ~ we have purchased through UK whitegoods at less than a third of the price, and are now in the position as above.
Please can anyone tell us jhow to connect this fan motor.

I applied some logic to this and have connected the fan motor and it is all working just great.
