ParticipantI think most engineers now know to check all the main components on these machines before replacing the main module (often all OK heater/pump/themister/valves/motor etc) BUT uneven wear on the carbon brushes also causes this annoying ‘timer abort’. Change the carbons and try it again. Also, always check the timer where the edge connector plugs on as they can burn sometimes and blow the main board. We offer a test facility on these boards for £4 + vat and that includes your return first class post ! http://www.emwelec.co.uk or call us Mon-Fri on 01623 647537 and ask for Tony

Nice to see you on the forum Tony. You used to do fault finding sheets some while ago, usually came out when we bought replacement timers from you. Are they still available ? or alternatively would you consider putting them on site. Regards – Ian.

KeymasterIf we put fault finding sheets up they will have to be in some form of protected area as we don’t want the great unwashed getting their grubby mitts on such information. But I guess we could just use a direct download area within the trade forums, that’s the easiest way.
Thanks for the input so far Tony, it is appreciated and nice to see you active on the site.

ParticipantJust been to a WD12S, constant rotation. Checked everything, all OK. Remembered about the brushes, pulled them off gave ’em a wiggle, cleaned the comm, put them back on in the reverse of their original positions – Blow me, it all works!
Nice one Tony. I presume the motor was generating some sort of electronic noise?Always something new to learn………

If you wouln’t mind posting them in the “known error codes” thread here http://www.ukwhitegoods.co.uk/postt40.html that would be great.
And welcome to the site.

Welcome to the site furhan.
The other stuff you were looking for in the public forums should all be in the links section for contacts etc.
If you need MFI/Diplomat/Hygena part numbers just ask, there’s a few MFI agents here 😉
