    Hi,

    I have a Hotpoint FFA60 Fridge/Freezer. Recently, the freezer has defrosted periodically and this was put down to the door being left open. Now however, it merely becomes cool and unable to freeze anything even with the fast freeze (super freeze?) button set. The red “warm freezer” lamp is not illuminated until the freezer section comes to about the temperature a real ale should be served at.

    Does anyone have any thoughts?

    If the door has been left open on any frost free model… Switch off for 24 to 48 hours to clear the evaporator.

    Fridge still has some stuff in it, so will use that and switch of over the weekend (we’re away at a beer festival so it won’t matter!!).

    Would that explain the freezer warm LED not shining even though the freezer is.. warm?
