Hi there
I hope someone can help me. We have a F&P 700 washing machine (about 20 years old now). A couple of nights back we but some things in it to soak overnight. The next day my wife placed it back into a normal wash mode to finish the load. After returning to it a few minutes later she noticed all lights where off. No power, nothing, with half the original amount of water remaining inside.
Checked power point etc all okay. My wife switched the power off for several hours but it would not reset.
I changed the pump about a year or so ago and all was okay until a couple of days back.
Any ideals on what might be the problem/where to start looking etc?

Re: F&P smart drive 700 – no lights/power
Check with power off.
Check the resistance from Phase & Neutral to Earth. This will
identify if either the motor wiring harness or the lid switch
harness is shorting to the wrapper.Check that the resistance of each of the water valves is 15 ohms
(phase 1-4), I take it its a GW700.More to check depending on model Phase 1 ‘XX0’
Phase 2 ‘XX1’Please post model number.
