HI, This is the first time I have used this site so am not sure if I am in the right place.

I have a Hotpoint ET7424 Induction Hob which I have taken to Spain and it has developed a fault, nobody in Hotpoint UK or Indesit in Europe are interested in the problem, I just wondered if any of you could help me with this. The Hob worked okay for a couple a months but the fan was noisy, then the rings would get hot work for a short while & then cut out, on inspection I found that the fan had stopped working, I took the hob apart & disconnected the fan supply & checking it with a multimeter I found no readings on any of the Ohms Scale, so I assume that there is a fault on the fan, but before I order a new fan which is 100 pounds, I thought i would check if any of you have had this problem before and traced it to another component on the hob.

Thanks in advance for your help & would you let me know if I have posted this to the wrong place.

    Regards
    Spanish Bill

    Re: HOTPOINT HOB

    Hi Spanish Bill

Moved you to the cooking support forum rather than the European one as the hob in question is a UK model 😉
