    Hi

Having problems with this unit intermitant cutting out due to water in base.

I can sit there for an hour plus and there is no water in base. Couple of days later water is there. It appears to be coming in on the left hand side (matrix) but not sure why.

    Can any Neff experts advise

    Many thanks

    Geoff

Hi Geoff, sounds like the hose from the bottom of the matrix to the sump is partially blocked causing an overflow at the float/rocker. A sure way to tell if it’s getting blocked is to listen to the water when it drops out of the matrix (3 fills), you should hear it flowing like a small waterfall. If it goes very quiet then it’s on the point of overflowing.

You might also want to check the free operation of the float and that there isn’t any real amount of corrosion on the microswitch arm 😉

If you get the side panel off it should be obvious, usually they overflow out of a small aperture above the pressure line for the valve lock…
