Having just swapped from a hot and cold fill machine, to a cold only fill I now have a surplus hot pipe under the sink. This has a 90 turn stop tap on it, but I am slightly uncomfortable that this might get knocked on by the various under sink detritus.

I am sure it is possible to get a screw on end cap with threads the same as a normal fill pipe – what would this be called. I had a look in Homebase and could see one, I tried a Google search and was swamped!

    Thanks

Hi, 3/4 inch compression blanking nut is what you are after.

Take the plastic threaded nut from your old fill hose(just the nut nothing else)
Press a 10p coin into it then the rubber sealing washer
Screw it onto the redundant tap nice and tight and you are sorted. 😉

    Thanks all!

The 10p solution sounds like the first to try 🙂
