Is there a resistance readying for the water flow sensor, I have the light flashing 7 times, which should indicate a sensor issue.
I just wanted the sensor but it seems you have to buy the whole plastic tank with it, is that a rip off?
Some of the suppliers say there is a replacement to the existing part, but whirlpool say the old number is still good, are they using up old stockp perhaps, can anybody advise?

Re: Resistance ready for flow sensor on whirlpool

    Hi

The flow sensor is just a magnetic switch and a spinning turbine, the control pcb counts the impulses from the number of times the switch opens and closes. If switch fails and no impulses are detected machine goes into fault mode and gives you 7 flashes.
Some times by unpluging the sensor connector and squeezing it to make a tighter fit of the plug on the sensor can cure this fault, other wise you have to buy the complete unit.
