This machine, as you probably know, works on an electronic timed fill system. It calculates the time it takes between reaching the first (anti-boil) level and the full level. The pressure switch is a conventional mechanical switch with 3 levels (anti-boil, full and flood) so under run test conditions does that switch operate normally during fill? Or if you operate it manually will the filling not stop and the drain pump run?

check your heater cabling from board to element, had a zwf1211 (despecced version of the zwf1221 which replaced the fx range) manage to pull one of the tags off the element cos the wiring was too tightly wrapped around down there. that did the same fault of constant filling on first fill stage.

i instantly assumed pcb as there was no error code, but better nature made me check the back and couldnt believe it when i saw it just dangling there.

by same token obv check the element for continuity and operating resistance too, because if that has dropped/failed i would assume it would reproduce the same symptoms as just being disconnected, and as it didnt throw up an error code for me, its quite possible if the element had gone down then that wont show up in diagnostics either…
