    Good afternoon all,

Wondering if anyone could let me know how many of the plastic retaining clips one cuts off (as per information sheet supplied with bearing kit) to allow the tub assembly to be split.

I’m wondering if they all require cutting off, (the information sheet doesn’t specify) as the two halves are extremely tight having snipped the 3 shown in the diagram.

Also, how does one remove the suspension legs from the tub without breaking them?
I’ve removed the nuts and bolts from the lower mounting points in order to remove the tub assembly, but can’t see how they are removed from the upper (tub) mountings!

    Best wishes,

    Hi Jontymox,

Seem to remember snipping them all off and bolting the tub back on.

The upper suspension pins have to be drilled out. There is a kit that comes with new suspension legs that tells you the size diameter drill bit required to drill through the plastic supension lug before bolting on the new legs.

    Thank you boselecta,

Have done so, and split tub.
Power washed inside tub due to state; will renew bearings tomorrow.

    Thanks again,

If you’ve split the tub , the suspension les will just slide off their suspension lugs. You only need to drill them if you’re replacing the legs ‘in-situ’ without splitting the tub.
