    Hi Everyone,

You have very kindly helped me in the past with repairs to another dishwasher and other white goods, so I was hoping that you might be able to help me again…

I have inherited an Hygena APL8224/1 which has worked relatively well over the last year, but has now stopped taking in water.

I have replaced the solenoid inlet valve and removed and checked the pipes running between various parts of the washer but to no avail. The machine works perfectly if I put a bucket of water inside at the correct parts of the cycle, but stops as soon as the element gets too hot from lack of water. Is there a water sensor which could be at fault or is more likely to be the ECU? How can I test with a meter to find the problem please?

    Thanks for your time

    Mark

The most likely cause is either the float in the left-hand side chamber sticking or more likely the wiring harness has broken in the door…

    Brilliant!

Thanks Clive, you are a star. It was indeed the cable. Replaced it yesterday and we have a perfectly working machine again.

    Thank you so much. 😀

    Best wishes
