The name suggests images of bespoke craftsmen taking pride in knocking out collapsed drum bearings in a Hotpoint using only the finest of lump hammers. Or the artistry demonstrated clearing a blocked drain coupling under the sink. Perhaps even the mindfulness and care in delivering and installing the latest offering from Hoover to your door….!
Oh yes I can visualise the potential…..:rolls:
There’s only one man good enough for the job and for that you must contact a ‘The Guild of Master Craftsmen’ memberSeptember 15, 2010 at 3:28 pm #330398lee8

I have been a member for the last 3 years. complete waste of money in my opinion so i cancelled it this year. membership is £280 pa. I am now a member of the trading standards buy with confidence scheme and have been for 2 years. It is free, and they actually come and vet us anually. With just a couple of references anyone can become a guild member which doesn’t really say much for those on their books IMO

I think you’ll find that even this one charges now… Most County Councils are charging around £100 .. Some are charging a lot more.

Was in it for a couple of years and the only thing I got was other members wanting a discount.
When I quit they offered a reduced subscription.
Margaret Thatcher is the patron (or should that be matron, ooh err!) which always troubled me.
