    Hello,
I hope this problem hasn’t been discussed elsewhere, have done a search but couldn’t find anything.

My question is about the mechanics of the dishwasher detergent dispenser mechanics. 2 out of three times, the tab doesn’t fall out of the little box, and the results are accordingly bad – i.e. I have to run the dw again.

Edit: to clarify: the dispenser pops open, but the table doesn’t fall out.

I have a suspicion that this might be because our house is subject to subsidence, and thus the floors are all wonky. If the DW is tilted, then the tab wouldn’t drop out – but before I try to wedge something underneath the machine to correct for this, I was wondering if there is another possible reason as to why the tab can’t fall out? Failing that, can I stick the tab in one of the trays or would that impact on the results?

I always make sure it’s not wedged in the box (the tabs fit comfortably in there…)…

    Many thanks in advance!

Tablet doesn’t need to drop out, door only needs to open by 15 degrees , the water goes in & washes tablet out.
Problem you describe can be because filter is blocked or spray arms are blocked or prevented from turning because of badly loaded crockery, pans etc.

If you can afford it then perhaps you should try Finish Quantumatic ..

    Thanks Seamy.
Unfortunately, neither is the case – but the tablet still stays in the dispenser. I think I’ll try putting it at the bottom of the machine.
