screaching noise comming from drier?

    hi i have a whirlpool tumble drier and it has a screaching noise coming from it. i opened it up and turned the drum to see if i could hear where it was comming from. i think i can see where the problem is. it looks as if one of the wheels that attches to the belt that is wraped around the drum is rubbing.

    if i spray wd40 on there will it be ok? or will that start a fire?

    wd40 is fine, but it will probaby want changing soon

    do you think its the belt thats causing the noise?

    when i moved the drier i thought i had mice because there was black stuff that i thought were droppings. but i think it was little pieces of rubber or something.
