    Hi guys,
The above machine has the pre-wash light flashing a little into the wash.
I’ve checked the motor & the element etc. I cant find this as fault code.
    any ideas?

The Prewash LED flashes for one of the following faults: –

    Heater
    Motor Brushes
    Pump

From what you say I would think in your case the Heater is at fault. 😉

Edit: I’ve amended my earlier post in the Known Error Codes thread (SEE HERE)😀

The element was open circuit, Changed it over – all appeared fine,
but the customer has just rang and now says it runs through fine on the cottons and whites but on the easy care setting the pre-wash light flashes after a little while on that still.
    What am i missing? 😕

As well as the heater being at fault the pump can also be at fault. It’s important to check to see if the impellor bearing is in any way worn (i.e side to side movement) if so chances are it sticks when trying to drain hot or warm water. They usually work OK pumping cold water by the way. 😉

I remember i had one of these do this……and to prove it to the customer , i waited till it ‘stalled’ and wouldn’t start and then gave the side of the machine a thump to get it going again……only i forgot i had the drain hose disconnected from the sink and laying on the top of the machine ….LID OFF !!! Whoosh….water all over the electronics inside ! Motor went into an uncontrolled spin for about 2 secs before there was a loud ‘pop’ and a big puff of smoke from the power PCB.

    Funnily enough , i havn’t made the same mistake again….yet 😀
