    Hi
I have this machine where the door gasket is rubbing on the inner drum,
There is no movement on the drum & the bearings seem to be ok
Any Ideas ? will changing the gasket do the job.?
I have the call booked for monday so any help would be very welcome

    Regards
    Toni

This is possibly a tricky one to sort Toni 😉 only in as much as it (as you probably know) has a complete s/steel tub/drum assy that cannot be sorted but can only be replaced. 🙁 2 thoughts spring to mind here, The inner drum spigot has cracked 😕 or the inner drum is twisted?

Dunno mate other than that 😕

I went to a W123 this morning, rumbling away gently it was, went to the van for the crosspiece (on special offer at the moment £21.95 +) and bolted it on.

I went to a W123 this afternoon, rumbling away gently it was, went to the van and got another crosspeice (Cheap, bought a few you see…), took the rear cover off and was confronted by a Philco back panel………

Just as well I still had a bearing set on board; but really! This would have caught most of us out!

This is a typical indesit story, a model number will be identical or maybe a uk instead of a gb after it and it will be a totaly different machine.

I went to a W123 this afternoon, so BEFORE I went and got the crosspiece from the van, I took the rear cover off and was confronted by ….. a plastic tub!

Thank God the computer had exploded!

Ah yes! the dreaded Brembate Drum, you’ll be seeing more of these in other examples if I’m any judge of Antonio Merloni 😆
