    Hi,

    I have a Whirlpool Tropical ARC 4030 850140315000. I bought it in 2004. Recently, when either the fridge or freezer door is opened the lights flash, alarm beeps and motor cuts in and out. This doesn’t happen everytime but is becoming more frequent. Apart from this the fridge is in good working order.
    I have found that this problem may be caused by a control board problem. However a new one costs around £160.
    Can I be sure that this is indeed the cause of the problem – could it be something else ?

    hi iv come across this problem a few times sometimes it can be the control panel aswell as the control board this would be alot cheaper to replace
