Hi Chaps hope someone can help?
Called to this machine and the problem is
Machine starts a wash programme, drain pump kicks in first then a pause and before the machine should start to fill the door unlocks and display and lock symbol flashes? Can not do anything unless you restart the whole thing off again but the same thing happens!! No faults codes displayed!
Works ok on the dryer, checked the fill valves and dryer element with a meter and all seems ok!!
now i got hold of the tech info and put machine into test mode now after checking for the fill valves EOD appeared in the display but cannot find anywhere what this means?
    Many thanks Brian

Did you check the drier heater with a megger? The drier will work but the short to earth will cause the machine to abort shortly after starting a wash cycle. Usual code displayed is ED4…..but I’ll look up EOD when I get back in! Drier heater is the No.1 suspect!

    HTH,

    Steve.

Its likely its a EWF1440 model,
ED0 is the alarm shown to customer, but when you go into diagnostics you will see specific alarm, eg ED1 ED2 ED3 ED4 or ED6,

ED1 = Data communication error between the WD board and PCB
ED2 = Drying heating element relay #1 faulty
ED3 = Drying heating element relay #2 faulty
ED4 = Relay which commutates power between the washing heating element and drying (in the WD board)
ED6 = No communication between PCB and display board (INPUT)

As already stated many times on here the first thing to check is the dryer element down to earth as its 90{e5d1b7155a01ef1f3b9c9968eaba33524ee81600d00d4be2b4d93ac2e58cec2d} of the time causing the problem.
