5 year old fully integrated.
There is a small leak into the base but I can’t find it. I’ve taken wooden door off, all the covers including the base. had it on its back to remove the half pint of cleanish water in the tray.Even unclipped the motor capacitor to get a better view. Had torches and a lead lamp.
The fill matrix looks dirty but no signs of a water leak.
I left it working after drying it out. Customer says it worked once then failed half way through the second wash. Three beeps then continually pumping out. The water levels seem okay.
What am I missing?
BTW I recently had my eyes tested and purchased new glasses.October 4, 2010 at 12:45 am #331945aqualectric

It will be the water matrix overfilling. The large hose going from the matrix to the sump gets blocked and will backfill and leak through the small overflow hose. (the clear plastic hose that goes into the base tray).
Drain and sponge out the sump then take the left side panel off. Take off the large hose and rod it through with a zip tie or a piece of scrap mains flex. The hose goes to the sump so be sure the item you are using to clear it will reach right through. Then try to dislodge as much crud as possible from the matrix with a long thin zip tie; noting that the nozzle the large pipe fits on is divided in half: in effect it is 2 pipes in one. Refit the hose and test with the small overfill hose outside the tray so you can look for seepage before you reassemble the machine. 😉
If this fails, then a new matrix is the only answer. 1118463106 is the part number @ £23-ish + VAT from Connect.HTH,
Steve.

I had the sump fixing screws loose on one machine, just loose enough not to notice first and second visit but after a few washes the drips activated the flood float.

We had a modern built in AEG dishwasher leaking recently and my son-in law (family affair), eventually found one of the seams leaking, near the top I think, and water running inevitably into the base. He glued it but advised customer not ideal repair. 👿
