Beko D3731FS Dishwasher

Hi all after reading about these dishwashers i do not feel lucky on this fault but who knows so here goes… switch machine on and the timer sometimes cycles through the process too quickly and nothing gets washed and no detergent released and then other times it works just fine..question is this a timer fault or is the other factors that is causing this problem…the dishwasher is about 5 year old and not used very often..
