KeymasterIt’s bad enough that you get calls from members of the public that are abusive, we all have to deal with this on a regular basis and, we deal with it in the best ways we can. That’s fine.
What I cannot tolerate is abusive calls from trade.
Today we had a call come into the office that virtually reduced a member of staff almost to tears from, believe it or not, a so-called ISE dealer and agent for other things.
I will not personally tolerate this sort of behaviour from anyone. Sorry, but there’s no need for it.
There is absolutely no need or call to be abusive to our staff. If you have a problem or want to kick off, phone me or John, we’ll happily take the call and tell you exactly what we think. Just don’t be shocked if you get as good as you give.
Needless to say that this “company” has now had certain privileges removed and will not be considered for agency work. If they can talk to a member of our staff in that manner then they would be equally disposed to talk to a customer in that way and that is just not happening. No business, manufacturer, us or anyone else wants their business represented in such a disparaging manner.
So, this idiot has lost all ISE work, sales references and Amica work because he decided to be a total… (I’ll halt there)
We all get hacked off at times, fine. Just don’t take it out on people that don’t deserve it.
And yes, I was a little annoyed about this will we say.

all the girls and lads ive spoken to at your place are great and dont under any circumstance deserve any calls like thatadvise them to do what i tell all my staff take the tel no then put the phone down i will always ring back any loud mouthed cx personaly and get an appoligy or they get my abuse and told where to go

I used to have a young girl work for me that on a few occasions, I’d look across the office after hearing her struggling with a call & she’d be sat there with her eyes filling up! I’d have to send her out for a cig so she could calm down etc, and that used to wind me up. Abuse from customers (ESPECIALLY when they are not your customers directly) is bad enough, but from other trade members is a bit unbelievable! We’re all meant to work together aint we?
I wonder how long I’d have kept my contract work if I rang relevant call centers upsetting staff everytime I had a customer ‘Effin & Jeffin’ over something that is beyond my control?! Not very long I suspect!

Quite right.. Take the phone number and name and put the phone down…
Noone deserves to be abused over the phone.. I involve the police if it is a bad case.. especially if it is a male abusing a female.

i never know what these people hope to achieve by shouting or dishing out abuse all it does to me is make me dig my heals in and be far less cooperative ,i think it just shows a lack of inteligence on there part to be honest ,as this type of person cant have a reasoned discussion without ranting and raving .I operate a zero tollerance policy where abuse is concerned swear or threaten and thats it no more comunication . Whats that saying “God must love idiots, why else would we have so many”.
I have come across people other than clients in this business getting abusive, everyone from Yell account managers who cannot calculate their own charges to contractors who could not fit a light bulb to WP’s who’s egos & IQ’s are as small as an ants penis .
No employee deserves to work in an environment of abuse from anybody and I have to say taking it from people other than clients is especially worse.
No excuses for that kind of behaviour.
