As the title says, I opened the door on my dishwasher the other day, there was a CRACK from the right hand side, and the door has lost its spring tension.
Now I know the inside of this machine fairly well, and no you adjust the spring pressure for the door by means of what looks like a massive Jubiliee clip on each side.
Now, something has obviously broken and I suppose it wont take much investigation to work it out, but I would like to order the parts now from the UK Whitegoods spares shop, then take it out and do it all in one go.
I take it something has broken and not just come off?
I have had a little look in your spares shop, but cant find any parts for the door spring/hinge listed for either model.

THESE are what you need. 😉
Two bits of string with some plastic on each end.
Be sure to change both at the same time.

Thanks mate, are they easy to change?
I suppose I just strip the side panels down, slacken off the adjustment for the spring, clip on, re tension and put the side panels back on again????

Yes, not a difficult job.
Have a good look at the one that hasn’t broken to give you an idea of the routing.
