just taken this into workshop to run through several times as customer states its not using hot water or drying, yet i could get it to heat up when i was round there the other day whilst in situ. shes put it on same prog yday and not working again so picked it up and been running it today and so far no issues that i can tell.

but so i dont look like a donkey when i turn up with it and it doesnt get warm again i thought i should just run it thru a diagnostic test programme, so logged onto mediator, and it has a “this website cannot be found” fail to load page.

therefore i need diagnostic info and alarm code references (for the diva edw1100 module without lcd) in case theres something im missing.

    cheers in advance

Remove the PCB from the control panel, remove all the wiring and split the box. Carefully check the solder joints on the heater relay. Notorious for intermittent heating faults. All it needs is a hairline crack in the solder around the relay pin for it to fail. The relay concerned is the one directly above the first (end double) plug with large wires (orange and purple IIRC).

    Steve.

hey steve, yeh done that this morning. definitely popped a joint and shes not bothering with a repair (wouldnt even accept a emw fix to get the total bill to just under £100) as she thinks she can get a new dw from argos for £160 :rolls:

so as the rest of the machine is in reasonable nick i fancy having a go at repairing the board myself, and using it for a loan machine wen parts are hard to get hold off.

any tips tho, clear burnout on the solder of one pin…?

will upload a pic when i can find the cam…
