“Kenwood” Dishwasher

This machine had a no drain fault. Cheked pump and found the impellor snapped off at the shaft. Returned few days later with new pump and fitted. Now when i turn the machine on you can’t select a programme…nothing shows up in the display. I managed to get it into test mode and it seemed to go through all functions (drain, fill, wash, heat etc). When i selected this, it showed, from memory, 18 in display and went through steps to 10 then stopped. After turning off and on again, nothing comes up on display when you press programme button.
Also a strange thing happens. While trying to get it into test mode (which is hold down 1/2 and time delay buttons then turn on and close door). I held down delay timer and program button and turned on machine and the alarm made a continiuos high pitched sound while a loud relay type clicking sound came from power board. It seems like a problem with the board but on first visit i could select a program and all i did was change the pump.
Am i doing something wrong?
