Went to this machine with a “no drum rotation” fault. This has a C.E Set motor on it. I found one broken wire on connection block to motor. I repaired the wire, put it on spin to test which it did ok and away i went.
Got a call back, customer saying its making a loud clunking sound and not turning properly. Put it on a wash and all seemed fine. Put a load in it and it would rotate one way fine then as it tried to rotate the other way it would start to move then cut out, start to move then cut out, and so on. It does this in either direction but seems to be ok when you put it on a spin. Brushes are ok as well as condition of armeture + motor connections. Any ideas?

    Thanks

Motor plug connections as well as the wiring loom fixing along the tub are a caution on these. Tacho magnets prone to coming loose and module connections and smoothing circuits within not the best sometimes.
