ParticipantHave any of you guys had dealings with this company ? I did a chargeable repair for them over two months ago – a fan motor and element in an oven – invoice submitted and am told by the “claims handler” that it has been sent to accounts for paying – have now threatened them with county court action which did at least get a reply to the email but nothing since then.
Impossible switchboard/automated call routing gets you to claims section only – cant find a direct number to head office to get to accounts department – another bunch of crooks I think.

Hi
Don`t know if this helps or not, after a little digging I have found some numbers through Say no to 0870 by typing the company name into the search option.
Also found what I think is their website here although I don`t know if it will help :rolls:

The terms are up to 2 weeks from them getting the invoice. This is the terms they set and you must agree to them before they pass you work? Usually paid well within the 14 days!
Some of the other insurance company want 30 or 60 days net!

Ditched them 18 months ago after being forced to issue a Stat Demand to get paid, although once that arrived, I did get paid 3 days later.

this sounds daft but im assuming you definitely have no record of any payment being made to your bank account whatsoever at all?
its just we did a lot of work for a landlord, who always paid by cheque few days after getting invoice. then one time he rung up saying he needed to pay by bank transfer as it was coming out of a different account. we said fine blah blah just this once. well the bookeeper wife decided to then use it for next couple of jobs we did for them next, without telling us. so needless to say first response to where is my money is “im sure we paid you”…
anyways now we insist on remits from them, turns out the wife thought it would save on a few stamps by doing it all online… so now we get email remitance :rolls:

Its amazing what threatening legal action does.
