I have had the same fluff in the condenser and washing getting wet and hot during the drying phase now (twice) with my AEG 16810 as described in this thread I now have another problem .
Having cleaned out the condenser unit the drain pump seems to have stopped working and wont pump out water (E21 diagnostic error code).
Have followed the diagnostic manual I think I have isolated it to the pump.
The pump doesn’t appear to spin. (Well I cant hear it)
Removed pump and it isn’t blocked.
Tried the flick the thermal switch inside trick. Still no joy.
Reading of 200 ohms across the terminals of the pump.
If I measure the voltage across the leads to the pump (off load) then they read around 90 volts when power is on to the machine and programme selected but start button not pressed and rise to 220v when start button is pressed and it should be draining.
Have just felt the pump outer casing and it is warm after being on only about 30 secs.
Having disassembled it again I can turn the paddle but it seems reasonably stiff.
Not wishing to waste £15 on a generic replacement from an online spares company is there anything else I should try first.
I presume if there is 220v on the supply leads off load then it should work unless the pump itself is burgered!
Any ideas??
TIA
