Just out of interest, why are there 3 thermostats on the drier duct.

    I think from memory there’s:

    1 before the heaters
1 after with the red button on it (overheat cut out)
1 on the foil insulated part just before it goes into the door boot

I thought there was no sensor drying with this as I’m sure if left on too long it just continues to bake the clothes so why all the stats?

    thanks

Hi I still hope forum members can help me thrash this out:

why so many stats if its just simply a brainless timer that switches off after an elapsed time, why any more than the TOC with the red button?

I can only think that maybe 1 extra stat cycles heater on and off to keep hot air input to a certain desired temp (albeit keeping going when clothes bone dry but timer not finished)
BTW I do realise that there are 2 heat settings but they are produced by the 2 separately wired elements surely.

NB it happens to be exactly the same as the layout in Haynes but Graham hasn’t labelled the stat just before the inlet to the door boot – frustrating!
