    Hi,
Got a F&p GW709 that has stopped after a hot wash cycle. The console is as normal, no flashing lights or beeps but will not progress to rinse.
Tried power on off. Took cover off to see if anything obvious is blown or damaged, all looks ok. Attempted diagnotic as per sticky, but don’t get any lights on. Tried several times, still no light on.
Any suggestion what could be wrong or where to look. thanks

    I also have a Fisher & Paykel GW709AU 7.5 kg Smartdrive9 excellence toploader.

It does the same thing. It has just started turning itself off (not just stopping, TOTALLY OFF, no lights, nothing) during any part of the rinse and spin cycle’s.

It does the entire wash OK but as soon as it goes on to the rinse or spin cycles something upsets it.

I’ve searched these forums and found similar issues but not the same. It pumps out OK, starts to spin but then apparently randomly turns off.

It needs to be unplugged and left for around 5 minutes and then you can turn it on again and give it another go.

I’ve checked the balance switch and it is OK.

It doesn’t give any warning beeps, flashings LED’S, nothing, just turns off.

If anyone has any clues to help me out that would be great thanks.

Found the problem……….. faulty lid switch. Bypassed the switch and back in action, all working. So tried a wash, set water level to low but water went to high mark. Drained all water, disconnected then reconnected vacuum tube, then retested.
All working like before……….one relieved man………..
