    My Whirlpool AKZ451 oven has started having problems. Firstly the element blew and I replaced with a new one. Seemed to work fine and then the fuse in the plug went. Changed that and the oven works. Problem now is that the element will not switch off unless power to socket is terminated. Please help with a solution of what the issue is and how to fix.

    sounds like your control thermostat contacts have welded together when you element blow!!!!

    Where would I find this to replace. Is it the thermostat housed by the grill element? or another?
