Hello,
We have replaced our trusty old Bendix Compact about a week ago with a Hoover WDYNS 654 D Washer Dryer. Before I get shot down, I know about their suspect quality but we needed a slim machine until we can get the kitchen done (Probably about 2 years now ☹ ).
While it cleans well and the drying performance is good there are a couple of issues:
•On it’s first proper wash after doing an empty test wash, it was fine ad balancing the load on the intermediate spins, but on the finial spin it was so out of balance that it knocked out one of the covers for the holes left for the transit bolts. I aborted as soon as it span and manually redistributed the load, it spun ok after that but ever since the drum makes a groaning noise when loading/unloading.
•It has a “KG mode” for certain programs. While it worked a couple of times for two light synthetic loads, it indicator no longer lights up on subsequent light loads (but it does adjust the time).
•There seems to be no difference between the “High Heat” and “Low Heat” settings as it seems to get equally hot.
I’m wondering if the unbalanced load did some damage to the electronics and if its worth getting it checked out?
Thanks,
Dan
