    Can anyone help with info regarding what certificates i would need for working with gas cookers etc..Also can anyone recommend anywhere up here in Lancashire where i can learn to get these certificates i.e are there any fast track courses that you can do ?

    You will need CCN1 and CKR1, there are no fast track courses as far as I know, you will have to have a ‘portfolio’ of work before they will even allow you to be ACS assessed, which means you need to be with a qualified Engineer doing the work under supervision for some time before they will even consider you.
    Check on the Gas Register website for more information or your local ACS assessment centre.
