I hope you might help,my Samsung side by side RS55XDAS W1/XEF,has a cold water dispenser that has stopped working.I think it may have something to do with the snakelike pipe inside the lower half of the fridge, freezing up?
I live in France ,and would very much like to sort the problem myself,as typically the gurantee has just expired!
    Many thanks.Elaine.

The precooling pipes or s type precooler in the bottom of the fridge compartment may be frozen.
Try warming them with a hair dryer but keep it moving not on one spot and get someone to try to dispence water at the same time.
If this clears it, dispence about 8 pints of water to melt any remaing ice in the pipes.
Then set the fridge temperature to 4 deg

Thankyou very much, water coming through fine now! Do you think the problem will reoccur?

If the problem returns with the fridge set at 4 deg, you will need an engineer to look at the defrost system in the fridge, as it might be building up ice near the fan motor or drain heater.
Or you can get someone to look after your food and try turning the fridge freezer off with the doors open for 48 hours.
This would solve the problem for a few months.
