This machine was completley dead. I found a blown triac, i think, (black thing with 3 legs) on board. It was near plug connector that i traced back to motor. Customer then tells me she had new brushes fitted to motor a few weeks ago and after doing a couple of washes ok, it then went pop while on a spin. Now im thinking to get the board repaired by EMW but dont want the motor to blow the repaired board, if thats the problem. When i tested the motor i got 80hohms and 30ohms through armature and feild coil (cant remember which reading was for which). Insulation was fine. Are these ok?

    Thanks

Way too high for a brush motor. Anyway, it sounds like it’s a fault which only occurs every two or three washes. More than likely it’s a wire in motor loom or in motor itself that’s shorting out when vibration moves it. Had a Nextra motor once where this happened due to motor connector hanging loose form its bracket leading to movement in the wires.
Quite likely that board will come back unrepairable :(.
