It can only be the main PCB then, or have you replaced that as well ?
Dave.

I’ve had this problem before – the condenser was badly blocked. The machine would drain out fully, then fault E20. Pump and filter (usual culprits for an E20 fault code) were both clear and working. Pressure chamber was clear as well.
It seemed that enough water was being retained behind the blockage to stop the analogic pressure switch from sensing an empty machine (therefore slowly emptying and refilling the sump causing a time out on drain) thus preventing a spin. Cleaned the condenser and hey presto!! All OK. The analogic pressure switch must be very sensitive……….:?Strange fault….. 😉

Dragging one up from the distant past. 🙂
I have an AEG L16830 throwing up E22. Pnc: 194602122-01
I went a couple of days ago, it was showing error code for a flooded base, sure enough the small grey plastic drain hose from the pump to the filter flap had come adrift.
Refitted, tested all functions OK.
Now its showing E22.
Pump, filter, outlet hose all perfect. Dryer heater insulation fine. Condensor completely clear ( I fitted a new fan motor 6 months ago to cure a screaming motor noise )
I did notice that when set on a drying programme it drains for a couple of seconds and then sounds to be trickling water through the dryer valve and the drum is turning, it does take about 35 to 45 seconds or more before the fan and heater kick in though, is this normal?

Does the error throw up on a wash or a dry cycle Jim?
(Fan and element kicking in after 30 odd seconds is normal)

Only on the drying cycle Martin, I did run it for about 20 minutes without any problems yesterday. I also swapped the aquastop type hose for a normal one to eliminate poor fill as a possibility.
No call back yet but it was only yesterday afternoon so will have to see how it goes.

Well if you do get a recall I can only suggest you take a closer look at the condenser, especially the bottom hose and the attached NTC. 😉

Unless she is washing woollen blankets for the street I don’t think it is blocked.
I did have to strip the condensor down about 12 months ago to hose it out and as mentioned had the back off to change the fan motor quite recently so checked on the condensor at the time.
Still “stranger things” and all that. 😀
Jim.
