Went to a Hoover HNWF 6135-80 Washer which was not heating. Ran the test pgm and the heater relay worked, put the heater on briefly, everything else OK, got Error Code eleven (??) – eleven flashes.

But during any wash the heater is not turned on at all.

The heater is not blown or down to earth and is OK

Checked the NTC Reading and got 31.8 Kohm

Can anyone tell me the correct NTC reading with cold water? It would seem the NTC is the culprit

    Thanks.

Temperature Ohmic Values for drier NTC
    (°C)
    (Ω)

    25 ~ 48500
    140 ~ 1044

    and for wash NTC
    Temperature
    (°C)
    Ohmic Values
    (Ω)
    25 19500
    30 15760
    35 12825
    40 10506
    45 8660
    50 7181
    55 5989
    60 5022
    65 4233
    70 3586
    75 3053
    80 2610
    85 2242
    90 1933
    95 1674

as usual the format completely changes from what I acutualy posted 😳
I guess you get the idea, first figure is temp, second is value in ohms. cold water will be around 30K at a guess. about what you have quoted in you post.

    Thanks for the figures Mark.

So if it isn’t the NTC, isn’t the heater relay on the PCB, isn’t the heater, wot the ‘ell is stopping it heating………

Also what does eleven flashes on the test pgm mean? (The dryer section works perfectly)

The customer now reports the machine is working perfectly. Great news! I guess one of those happy times when just inspecting the machine remedies a bad connection…
