I’ve got a Siemens KS24V02 Fridge Freezer (maybe 14 years old), and the fridge door seems to have dropped. The hinges consist of metal pins on the fridge which insert into holes in the fridge door. Looking at the top hinge, the hole in the door seems to have become worn to an oval shape rather than circular, which allows the door to drop.
Is this sort of thing fixable? (without replacing the door which wouldn’t be cost effective for such an old appliance). I guess I’m thinking along the lines of some sort of plastic/nylon insert to make the hole in the door circular again????

these doors do have inserts but it is more likley the bottom one has gone you can try nylon washers to pack the door up this might solve the problem but have a look at the other side of the door as some of the old ones had inserts on both sides if it has just reeplace the old insert with the unused ones this will prolong the life
….or if that doesn’t work , you could maybe swap the doors over to open the opposite way , thus placing the hinges on the door side with good holes .

Looking at the top hole on the non-hinge side of the door I can’t see any sort of insert that is obviously removable, or perhaps they’re difficult to see/remove?

Thanks, I attempted that a few months ago. Whilst changing the door to hang the other way was fairly straightforward I then had problems with the door seal, which seemed to catch on the hinge side preventing the door from closing properly. I couldn’t figure out how to solve this and ended up putting the door back to it’s original state. My guess was that maybe the seal was more worn on one side than the other, but perhaps there’s a way to resolve that problem?
